A member of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Henry Longs, is dead.
Daily Trust gathered that Longs, who represented Pankshin South constituency in the state assembly, died after a surgery.

His colleague, Honourable Dasun Philip, representing Pankshin North, in the assembly who confirmed the incident, said the lawmaker died on Sunday evening.
Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong in a statement by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Simon Macham, condoled the family of the deceased.
Lalong said he received the news of the death with shock and he is deeply grieved by the demise of the legislator whom he described as a promising politician, legal practitioner and committed citizen of Plateau.
He said as a member of the ruling APC, Longs contributed his quota towards the success of the Party, both within the Plateau House of Assembly and the entire State, through the facilitation and passage of laws for the good governance of the State and the nation.
