The Plateau State Government is set to inaugurate an inter-religious council to help build mutual understanding between Christians and Muslims in the state.
The Director General of the Plateau State Peace Building Agency, Mr Joseph Rengman, disclosed this during an interactive session with journalists as part of activities marking the 2021 Plateau State Day of Peace.

He said the day would begin with the inauguration of the inter-religious council to synergise with the agency to find possible ways of bringing stable peace and harmony in the state.
He further said, “The Plateau State Government assures citizens of the state of its determination to heal the wounds of violent crises and skirmishes that have befallen the state in recent times and to reintegrate all communities beyond the misconceptions of ‘no-go-areas’ in the state.”
