The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Plateau State says it has established seven additional Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVR) centres in the state to ease registration.
A statement signed by its Deputy Director, Voter Education and Publicity in the state, Osaretin Imahiyereobo, said that two centres each were created in the three senatorial districts of the state, while the seventh centre was randomly selected.
He said that the centres were created in seven local government areas, which included Jos North, Jos South, Mangu, Pankshin, Shendam, Wase and Qua’an Pan.
“The centres added are in Naraguta Government College at Naraguta B Ward in Jos North; EKAN Primary School, Lokum, at Vwang Ward in Jos South; GSS Mangu at Mangu Ward in Mangu Local Government Area; Jing Primary School, Lankan Ward in Pankshin Local Government Area.
“Others include Namu Primary School, Namu Ward in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area, Central Primary School, Shimamkar in Shendam Local Government Area and Central Primary School in Bashar Ward in Wase Local Government Area,” he said.
