The organisers said the training with the theme, Increasing Women Participation in Microfinance Activities Towards Attracting Finance and Micro Small Enterprises Development Fund (MSMEDF), is aimed at reducing poverty among women across the state.
Wife of the state governor and founder of WAYE Foundation, Ngo Talatu Jang, expressed optimism at the opening ceremony of the training that it would equip women with relevant knowledge and place them on the right platform to access money to finance their business.
Talatu added that “this training programme which is a joint effort between WAYE Foundation, the Plateau State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and Fingertips Development Partners International Ltd, is particularly aimed at enabling our women to take advantage of the micro, small and medium development fund to access the N220 billion fund for the business development of our women.”
Also speaking at the occcasion, the Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Fingertips Enterprise Development Ltd, Haggai Gutap, stressed that the training would open the eyes of women to opportunities of business finance available to them.
