The Plateau State House of Assembly today impeached its deputy Speaker, Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi who represents Kantana constituency and replaced him with Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong who represents Kanam constituency.
The House impeached Gagdi after 18 out of the 24 member house signed a vote of no confidence against him.

Daily Trust reports that Gagdi who won election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had on the 25th of October
2016 decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
