Plateau Crisis: Political leaders caution assembly speaker over activities

The Plateau State House of Assembly Speaker, Abok Nuhu Ayuba, has been cautioned by some political and community leaders in the state to be cautious in his activities following the recent crisis in parts of the state.

The leaders, who met yesterday in Jos, the Plateau State capital, said they were concerned about the politicization of the crisis in the state, saying that it is paramount to join hands together to find lasting peace in the state.

Speaking on the outcome and resolution of the meeting, the convener, Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, said since the crisis, the Speaker has been engaged in some “contrary activities” which he said was not only bringing division between the legislative and executive arm of government but among the ethno-religious divides as well.

Zazzaga, who is also a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state., said regardless of anyone’s party or affiliation, crisis does no one any good, and that no one can be a winner in a crisis situation.
