According to posts making the round; “The GOC is from Miango community, hence he is supporting the Fulani against the Irigwes among other wild and unsubstantiated allegations. Such claims were lies aimed at tarnishing the image of General Ali.”
The Army in the statement debunked the allegation, saying the GOC hails from Kano State contrary to the allegation.
“Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali was born in Nasarawa, Kano Municipal Council of Kano State to the family of late Alhaji Sallau Ali and Late Hajia Aishatu Ibrahim (God rest their souls). He attended Lebanon Primary School Kano in 1974 and proceeded to Saint Thomas Secondary School Kano, 1980.”
