Plateau, Benue and Nasarawa have been rated as states with the highest cases of human trafficking in Nigeria.
This was disclosed on Saturday by speakers at the maiden edition of Rock International Film Festival (RiFF) organised by the Jos Film Initiative (JOFII) held in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

During the event, RiFF gave special opportunities to students and young filmmakers whose films addressed social and human rights issues and allowed local and international participation in short and documentary films.
RiFF is designed as a discourse-steered festival where lectures/discussions, questions and answers are held daily. Equally, arts and photos were on display throughout the four-day event.
During the discussion session, members of the panel said noted that human trafficking had taken a new dimension in Nigeria, with Plateau and Benue and Nasarawa having the highest rates, adding that the reason was as a result of incessant crises that had bedevilled the states over the years.
