Plateau Assembly passes N177.3bn budget

The Plateau State House of Assembly has passed the 2020 appropriation bill of about N177.3 billion into law, following the report by the House standing committee on appropriation presented at a plenary session by its chairmen, Hon. Yahaya Adamu.

The budget tagged “Budget of Rescue and Infrastructural Consolidation”, had over N98 billion as recurrent expenditure, while capital expenditure got over N74 billion.

Governor Simon Lalong had on November 26, presented over N172.5 billion to the assembly as budget for the 2020 fiscal year, and the assembly on December 3 passed the budget to second reading and sent it to its standing committee on appropriation.
