The Plateau State House of Assembly on Monday, at plenary, approved the sum of N529.4 billion appropriation for the fiscal year 2025, exceeding the initial amount presented by Governor Caleb Mutfwang by more than N500 million.
The House presided over by Speaker Gabriel Dewan, passed the fiscal budget after presenting a report at plenary by the House committee chairman on appropriation, Hon Adamu Aliyu.
Governor Mutfwang had in early December, 2024 presented a fiscal proposal of N471.134 billion, with recurrent expenditure at N201.5 billion and N269.6 billion for capital expenditure, for consideration and approval by the House.

The appropriation committee chairman, Hon Adamu Aliyu, while presenting the report, said after deliberations and scrutiny of the governor’s proposal, the sum of N529.4 billion had been considered for passage by the House committee of the whole.
