The Plateau State House of Assembly has declared the seat of the impeached speaker of the House, Abok Ayuba, vacant.
The Speaker of the House, Yakubu Sanda, who made the declaration during a plenary on Tuesday, said the decision followed a letter sent to the house by the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in the state, informing the party of his intention to decamp from APC to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Speaker said the seat was declared vacant because Abok left the party without any crisis facing the party.
