Golu had earlier made his intentions known when the League of Veteran Journalists in the state paid him a solidarity visit aimed at encouraging him to vie for the seat. He said having understood the security and economic issues on the Plateau and having served as a journalist, he will be able to raise the platform of representation for the people of the state.
“I am interested in continuing to where God will take me, I am in the race to represent my people in Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam and raise the platform of that representation.,” he said.
He urged journalists in the state to strive hard to ensure that the legislature becomes strong and vibrant and make their contributions in the deepening of democracy.
Chairman of the League, Gideon Barde, said having served as an outstanding journalists, Golu will be able to see things from various perspectives and pledged to lend their experiences to ensure that he succeeds.
