Kano Pillars have sent a message of condolence to the family of their former Player, David Ebuka, who died on Friday night in Makurdi after a brief illness.

In a condolence message by the Media Officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, on behalf of the Acting Chairman of the club, Dr. Ibrahim Galadima, players, technical crew and entire fans, he expressed shock at the passing of the immensely talented youngster.

“The death of Ebuka is a great loss to Nigerian football. He died at the time that his services are most needed,” said Malikawa.

He described late Ebuka as a committed and thorough-bred professional who exhibited commitment and professionalism during his four seasons with ‘Sai masu gida.’

The Spokesperson also said the name of Ebuka will remain forever in the hearts of the Kano Pillars family.

He, therefore, prayed to God to grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

It will be recalled that Ebuka who joined Pillars in 2019 after his heroics in the Higher Institutions Football League (HiFL) with the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi was among the players who led Pillars to win the 2020 Aiteo Cup.

His death comes six months after the demise of his elder brother, Kelvin Odenigbo, also a footballer, who drowned in a lake in Belarus.
