Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has secured a major push for the 2023 elections.
Tinubu, who has failed to secure endorsements of major groups from the South West, got the blessing of Yoruba leaders under the aegis of Conference of Yoruba Nationals, on Sunday.

At a meeting in Ondo State on Sunday, the leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti; former Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Alani Akinrinade, Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Cornelius Adebayo, former Kwara State Governor, former minister, Chief Rufus Arogbofa and Chief Iyiola Omisore, endorsed Tinubu.
Before now Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Professor Banji Aknitoye, notable Yoruba leaders, had kicked against Tinubu’s ambition.
