The Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Company (SSAEAC) has picketed the head office of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) over unmet Staff benefits.
SSAEAC also said the association was embarking on an indefinite strike pending discussions on their demands.
According to the Deputy President, SSAEAC, Rilwan Shehu, the action became imperative following the refusal to approve reviewed Condition of Service that was agreed between the Association and KEDCO Management.
Some of the issues include: “Refusal to remit 79 months pension deducted from Staff salary, non remittance of 80 months PAYE, unsafe working conditions – lack of working tools and outstanding Exit package to retired staff.
