On Tuesday, a grand dinner was held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja to celebrate the appointment of the Nigerian veteran actor and filmmaker, Ali Nuhu, as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC).
The event was attended by dignitaries from the government, the film industry, and the media.
Nuhu, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors of all time in the history of Hausa and Nigerian cinema was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to head the NFC, the government-owned agency that regulates Nigerian films.
Nuhu has appeared in more than 500 Nollywood and Kannywood films, and has won numerous awards and accolades for his acting, directing, producing, and scriptwriting skills.
