PHOTOS: Gumi Meets Fresh Set Of Bandits As Kidnapping Soars

Sheik Ahmad Gumi, respected Islamic Cleric, has embarked on another peace seeking trip to the forest to meet with bandits.

Earlier in the month, the cleric had met with bandits across forests in Zamfara State, appealing to them to drop their arms.

He had subsequently asked the government to pardon the armed men for peace to reign.

Sources told Daily Trust that Gumi met with the armed men between Tegina in Niger State and Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State.

The development comes two days after armed men abducted the staff and students of Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State.
