An Islamic group in Suleja of Niger State, Muhammadawa, has staged a procession to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him).
According to many scholars, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was born on the 12th day of the Islamic lunar month of Rabiul Awwal, and every year Muslims, particularly adherents of Sufi orders, commemorate the day to display their devotion and love for the Prophet.

During such period, the faithful usually organise public processions and preaching sessions where Qur’an and books that eulogise and extol the virtues of the Prophet are recited and interpreted to the audience.
