Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo were the cynosure of eyes at an ongoing meeting of South West stakeholders on the 2023 Presidency.
The meeting holding at the Lagos Government House, Marina, was put together by former governors of Ogun and Osun states, Chief Olusegun Osoba and Chief Bisi Akande, respectively.

According to sources, the elder statesmen were worried by the rising number of presidential aspirants from the region, saying the South West could lose the ticket if not strategic.
Daily Trust gathered the possibility of pruning down the list of aspirants or coming up with a consensus candidate are parts of the options on the table.
Aside Tinubu and Osinbajo, who have picked the presidential forms, others at the meeting are Governor Kayode Fayemi, also an APC presidential aspirant.
Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola; His Interior Counterpart, Rauf Aregbesola; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Industry, Trade & Investment, Chief Niyi Adebayo, Governors Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state and Gboyega Oyetola of Osun state.
