PHOTOS: Absence of PLASIEC officials, election materials, voter apathy mar Plateau LG poll

The absence of Plateau Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) officials, election materials, and widespread voter apathy have disrupted the local government elections scheduled for Wednesday.
Over one million persons are expected to choose chairmen and councilors across 17 local government areas, with 17 political parties participating.
Our correspondent visited several polling units in the state capital, including Tudun Wada, Anguwan Rukuba, Anguwan Rogo, Zinaria, and Bauchi roads, and reports that ad-hoc staff had not arrived at some units as of 11 am.
In Jos East, residents told Daily Trust that electoral staff and materials were also absent from polling units as of the time of filing this report.
As of 10:45am in Jos south, stranded voters were seen in some of the polling units. Many of kept shuttling their polling units and home at intervals.
Some electoral officials got to polling units late.
