PHOTOS: Abia court in ruins, begging for repairs

Obehie, an ancient town, is the traditional capital of the Ukwa People (Ndoki and Asa) clans in Abia State.

It sits between Aba, the commercial hub of Abia and Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital.

The town, as well as the entire oil-rich Ukwa West Local Government Area, is embarrassed by the poor social amenities.

But one of the sour points in the town is its Customary Court.

The Obehie Customary Court currently looks like an abandoned poultry farm where animal dungs are kept, according to a resident.

When our reporter visited the administrative centre of the court, operators were seen squatting and squeezing themselves to have a resemblance of an office in one ancient colonial building which has a horrific look.
