Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led chieftains of the party to the residence of former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday.
Among those who visited the former president were Senator Kashim Shettima, APC Vice-Presidential candidate, and five Governors.
The governors are Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Bello Matawale (Zamfara), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Simon Lalong (Plateau) and Dapo Abiodun (Ogun).
It is not yet clear what transpired at the meeting but there are indications that it is about the 2023 elections.
The APC made history by unseating Jonathan in 2015, the first time that an opposition party would defeat an incumbent president.
In the buildup to the 2015 election, the APC stopped at nothing to demarket Jonathan and his governnment.
