Southeast governors, ministers and leaders of political, religious and traditional institutions from the zone have commenced a security meeting at the Government House in Enugu.
The meeting is a follow up to the consultation the Presidential delegation, led by the Minister of Defence, Retired Maj. Gen. Bashir Magashi, had with the Igbo leaders, on June 11, 2023, on the security challenges confronting the region in particular and Nigeria in general.
The meeting is to discuss the numerous security challenges facing the region and proffer a lasting solution to the problem.
