As part of efforts to give back to the society, a philanthropist, Mr. Victor Chimaobi Anyaegbudike has donated food items worth millions of naira to over 200 indigent widows from Enugwu Akwu-Achi in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Beneficiaries of the gesture were drawn from the four clans that made up the Enugwu Akwu-Achi Town.

Anyaegbudike who is the Spokesman for Chevron Company explained that the motive behind the gesture was to give back to the society by putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged, in his individual capacity and in the spirit of the New Year.

He had earlier graded a 6-kilometre road project, carried out a water project as well as contributed to the electrification of the town.

Recipients of the food items thanked the philanthropist for his generosity; prayed to God to bless him and his family in return.

One of the recipients, who is a farmer, Mr. Christian Ihuefo expressed happiness for the food items he received, saying he never expected such a gift. “I am very happy. I thank God for using our son to bless us,” he said.

Also expressing his appreciation, Anayo Obiekezie recalled that Anyaegbudike graded the road that links the community to other communities.
