Persons with disabilities want quota in politics

People with Disabilities (PWDs) in Osun State are demanding for quota in leadership positions in political parties.

They made the demand during an advocacy visit to the leadership of the state chapter of the PDP in Osogbo, the state capital.

Chairman of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) in the state, Mr Kehinde Onitiju, appealed to the parties to give them a sense of belonging and pave way for qualified PWDs to contest on their platforms.

The advocacy to the party was initiated by The Albino Foundation, under the European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (TAF/EU-SDGN) Project.
