Personnel managers to cause positive change with national conference

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) has said it would cause a positive change in organisations with its forthcoming annual national conference.

The chairperson of the Abuja branch of the institute, Mrs Folashade Adekeye, who made this known when she led a delegation of the branch’s executives on a visit to the Media Trust Corporate head office yesterday, said the conference was themed, ‘Disruption,’ to ensure that personnel managers move with the new trends in the profession.

She said more than 3, 000 will participants including facilitators outside Nigeria will attend the four-day conference billed to start on October 20 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

She said, “We want to change the game. We need the theme more than yesterday. We are trying to change the game and be involved with what is happening at the chief executive’s table. We want to cause positive disruptions to bring about positive change.”

The body said it was also working to curb quackery among personnel managers.
