Pensioners threaten to shut down airports over pay

Pensioners of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Wednesday, threatened to shut down airports across the country over pay disparity.

They have given the management till May 4, 2021, to resolve the matter with them or face a nationwide protest.

The pensioners under the aegis of the National Union of Pensioners (NUP) held a rally at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos where they issued the ultimatum.

National Secretary of NUP FAAN branch, Comrade Emeka Njoku who addressed the newsmen said the management of FAAN had failed to implement the recommended CoS as agreed by the committee set up over disparity in salaries.
