The Brifina Hotel located at Durumi District, Abuja was initially traced to the former Drector Pension Accounts in the office of the Head of Service of the Federation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) but he denied ownership.
At the resumed hearing of the case yesterday, the EFCC counsel Godwin Obla (SAN) moved the application for the forfeiture of the N339 million worth property. The prayer was not opposed by defence counsel James Onoja.
Consequently, Justice Ademola Adeniyi granted the application and ordered the hotel be forfeited to the federal government.
Teidi was arraigned alongside Udusegbe Omoefe Eric, a former manager of the defunct Oceanic Bank Plc. on a 22-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence, conspiracy to commit fraud and concealing the origin of stolen pension funds in the years 2009 and 2010.
