Members of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) in the Federal Ministry of Petroleum, on Wednesday, embarked on three days warning strike.
The PENGASSAN National Public Relations Officer (PRO) & Rivers State Trade Union Congress (TUC) Secretary, Engr. Fortune Obi, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists.

Obi said the following agencies are affected; Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Authority- PPPRA, Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority- NNRA, Petroleum Training Institute- PTI and the Department of Petroleum Resources- DPR.
The senior workers, who downed tools at the Abuja headquarters of the Ministry, said they were protested against the non-payment of salaries of members for the past three months.
The Union also said that the strike was embarked upon to kick against the federal government’s inclusion of its members in the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information system.
When contacted, the ministry’s spokesperson, Mrs enafaa Bob-Manuel, said she would get back to our reporter on the issue on Thursday.
