Pedestrian killed as two vehicles collide in Lagos

An unidentified pedestrian died on Monday while many people escaped death in an accident involving two vehicles at Mile 2 area of Lagos.

It was gathered that there was a collision between a Nissan Pathfinder Jeep with registration number KTU 92 BB and a Volkswagen bus with registration number GGE 838 XT.

Following the collision, the Nissan Pathfinder Jeep was said to have run into a male adult pedestrian and also hit the Volkswagen which had stopped to pick up passengers.

The state Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) which was notified of the incident through the emergency helpline confirmed that the adult male pedestrian lost his life.

In a related development, the agency had recovered a shipping container that fell on three vehicles at Abule-Ado/Soba around FESTAC/Amuwo-Odofin.
