Four days after gunmen attacked residents of Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State, peace has returned to the community, Daily Trust reports.

Our correspondent further reports that as at Wednesday morning many residents were going about their normal daily routine while students have returned to classes.

However, famers are still afraid of going to their farms for fear of attacks.

Aside the usual vigilantes, Daily Trust observed heavy presence of security agencies in the town.

Speaking on the development, the Asao of Ayete, the local government’s capital, Emmanuel Okeniyi Borisabunmi, said peace had returned to the communities.

“We are fine today. Peace has returned to our community. We need your prayers. Many of our people have returned to their businesses, but we pray the evildoers do not return to their area again.”
