The national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Sen Iyorchia Ayu, has said the party is now ready to rescue Nigeria.
He said this while declaring the party’s national convention open on Saturday.

Ayu lamented the deteriorating standard of living in Nigeria as a result of bad government of the All Progressives Congress.
He said unemployment rate was on the rise, insecurity increasing and poverty hitting harder by the day.
Ayu said the ruling party rode on false promises that they are yet to deliver on.
He said Nigerians are tired and now calling on the PDP to return.
He assured that the party is now ready to return to power at the national level and come to the rescue of the country.
He said he began to reposition the party for glory when he took over in December.
The convention is ongoing at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
