Ahead of the primary elections of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), two presidential aspirants, Peter Obi and Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, stormed Kebbi State to canvass for delegates’ votes.
In his remark, while addressing the party members yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, Peter Obi called on the party’s delegates while voting for their candidate of choice to consider the future of their children before deciding on who to vote for during the party’s primaries.
“I want you to look into the future of your children and see whether it will do them any good before you vote for a candidate. Vote for a candidate that can guarantee their future as president.
“If they give you money collect, who knows it might be your stolen money. But when it comes to voting, think twice, vote only for the candidate with the capacity to fix Nigeria and secure the future of your children,” he said.
In his address, Hayatu-Deen urged delegates to go for credible aspirants, while casting their votes, who are capable of winning in the 2023 general elections.
“Delegates are key in determining the choice of the party’s presidential flag bearer. Therefore, I urge you to choose wisely in the presidential primary election,” he said.
