The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said its Presidential ticket for the 2019 general election is thrown open for all its members.
The National Organising Secretary of the party, Austin Akobundu in a statement on Monday said the notion that the party had endorsed one of the aspirants for the ticket was wrong.
"The attention of the PDP has been drawn to a publication in one of the dailies claiming that one of the presidential aspirants of our great party has been endorsed by the key leaders of our party.
"Nothing can be farther from the truth and all Nigerians are urged to disregard the publication as it is a fabrication from the imagination of the author even as he tried to make it look authoritative. It is calculated to create confusion," he said.
He assured party members particularly the presidential aspirants and their supporters that the contest would be open, transparent and that Nigerians would be happy at the outcome.
