Results from the 15 out of 16 local government areas of Taraba officially released by INEC have put the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) guber candidate, Darius Ishaku ahead with 297,552 with All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Aisha Jummai Alhassan trailing behind with 234,032 votes.
Meanwhile, the entire results from Donga local government area of the state has been cancelled by INEC due to electoral malpractice.
Taraba state governorship election Returning Officer, Prof. Muhamed Kyari cancelled the result from the area even as PDP State Agent Rebo Usman kicked against the decision.
The result presented by the Donga local government Returning Officer, Mallam Al-Isah Sanusi showed that elections from the local government was marred by violence and snatching of electoral materials in five polling units.
Donga local government area has 165 polling units, and the local government Returning Officer noted that cases of election malpractices occurred in only 5 poling units.
The cancelation of results from Donga led to heated argument between the PDP state Agent, Rebo Usman and Prof Kyari the state Returning officer at the Collation Center.

With the cancellation of Donga local government result, the PDP is still leading with 63,520 votes.
At the time of filing this report, Sadauna local government result was still being expected and the State Returning Officer has adjourned collation of results till 12 noon.
