Kaduna State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has set up a 94-member committee organise the flag-off of the campaign of its candidate Alhaji Isa Ashiru.
Former National Organising Secretary of the party, Abubakar Mustapha is to serve as chairman of the committee.
Speaking during the inaugural ceremony of the Committee on Thursday at the State Party Secretariat , Kaduna PDP Chairman, Hassan Hyet, urged all members of the Committee to put heads together to ensure that the flag off ceremony succeeds.
He said the event would not only be a show of popularity the candidate but also to send a statement that the PDP was fully prepared to wrest power from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State.
The chairman said PDP had been tested and proven to deliver on its promises while it held sway as the ruling party adding that it was ready to do better if re-elected in 2019.
Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha in his acceptance speech, thanked the party for finding him and the other members of the committee worthy of the appointment.
He assured the party chairman and the governorship candidate of their commitment and dedication to organize what he said would be the best ever campaign flag off in Kaduna State.
The Senator representing Kaduna North Senatorial zone ,Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi in his remarks expressed satisfaction over the choice of members of the committee.
He said the committe members were political big wigs in the state that could make the necessary difference required to achieve an outstanding campaign.
