PDP hosts good governance lecture for Governors elect in Abuja

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum is organising a Welcome/Reception of PDP Governors-Elect and Send Forth of Past PDP-GF Chairmen scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday,) in Abuja.

The occasion is also expected to feature a discussion on “Good Governance at the Sub-National level: Issues, Perspectives, Expectations and Outcomes”, which the forum secretariat said will lay out the challenges facing governance at the sub-national level and possible solutions.

This was made available to journalists in Abuja by Hon. C.I.D. Maduabum, the Director-General, PDP Governors’ Forum.

He disclosed that the lecture is to be presented by Dr. Muda Yusuf, a renowned economist, as Guest Speaker.

Maduabum gave the names of the Governors-Elect being received into the Forum as Umo Bassey Eno, (Akwa Ibom), Peter Ndubusi Mbah (Enugu), Agbu Kefas (Taraba) Ameopusenibo Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers) Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta) Dauda Lawal (Zamfara) and Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau).

The Forum also said it would use the opportunity to formally send forth past Chairmen of the Forum, namely: Segun Mimiko, Ayodele Fayose, Ibrahim Dankwambo and Seriake Dickson.

Those expected at the event are 2003 PDP Presidential Candidate and Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Namadi Sambo, Former Vice President, Acting PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Umar Iliya Damagum and Members of the PDP National Working Committee.

Former PDP Governors and Current and Former PDP Presiding/Principal Officers of the National Assembly, Party Leaders among others.
