The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the extension of the tenures of the North-West zone and the Lagos State caretaker committees of the party.
This means that the members of the caretaker committees are to continue in their current capacities for an additional 30 days.

The national publicity secretary of the party, Debo Ologunagba, in a statement in Abuja, however, noted that the duration must not exceed 30 days from the expiration of their current tenure.
He also said the tenure of the North-West zonal caretaker committee had been extended from February 28 to March 28, while the tenure of the Lagos State caretaker committee had also been extended from February 19 to March 19.
