PDP charges security agencies to tackle banditry, kidnapping

The PDP in Sokoto State has called on security agencies to tackle banditry and kidnapping in Sokoto and neighbouring states.

The chairman of the party, Alhaji Bello Goronyo, made the call Wednesday during a familiarization visit to the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) in charge of Zone 10, Mustapha Abubakar.

Goronyo, while urging them to redouble their efforts, assured the police boss of their support and cooperation in maintaining peace in the state.

Responding, AIG Abubakar restated the commitment of the police to ending insecurity in the state.

The party chairman also paid similar visits to the state Commissioner of Police and the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
