The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has celebrated former President Goodluck Jonathan as he marks his 64th birthday.
The party, in a statement issued by his National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said Dr Jonathan’s personal sacrifices in ensuring the unity and stability of the nation, particularly after the 2015 generation election, stood him out as a statesman who put the wellbeing of the nation above personal ambitions.
He said the PDP and Nigerians across the divides were proud of former president as an exceptionally patriotic leader and national icon whose achievements and personal sacrifices towards the unity and stability of the nation remained indelible in the history of Nigeria.
