The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the Ondo State governorship election, Eyitayo Jegede, has won his polling unit 009 ward 2 in Akure South Local Government with 220 votes.
The candidate of the All Progressives Party (APC) and incumbent Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, came second with 60 votes.
Also, Zenith Labour Party (ZLP)’s candidate and Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, came distant third with seven votes.
