A former Governor of Niger State, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, has said that the opposition PDP stands a good chance of reclaiming Kwara State.
Aliyu stated this while speaking with journalists yesterday in Ilorin after monitoring local government congresses of the party in the state.
The former governor said the turnout of supporters for the congresses showed that the PDP still enjoyed acceptability and popularity in the state.
“I think the PDP in Kwara is still very popular and still organised; and people are interested and that is what we have seen. I hope that by the time we have the state congress, somebody who will emerge as the state chairman would be able to bring all the different interests groups together,” he said.
