PDP begins tour of 16 local government areas in Kwara

Executives and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara state have begun the tour of the 16 local government areas in the state ahead of the 2019 general elections. 

 
The tour according to the Chairman of the party, Chief Iyiola Akogun Oyedepo was to meet with their members and discuss with them on the need to encourage electorate to register and be members of the party so as to work for the success of PDP during the election.
 
Speaking during the party’s tour to Shao in Mooro local government area of the state, Oyedepo said it is time for them to work together to liberate Kwara and in doing so they must work as a team and one family to safe the state from total collapse. 
 
"Mooro is the most united local government in our party and I want us to use that unity to the advantage of our party. We need to work to liberate Kwara during the coming elections.
 
" Mooro is known for liberation and they are known to have produced wonderful politicians who have contributed greatly to the governance. Let us work together to get out our people from slavery," Oyedepo said.
 
Also speaking is the PDP Senatorial Chairman, Kwara North, Chief Oyebiyi Sunday who prayed God to continue to guide the state executives and called on members from the senatorial district to continue mobilisation of people to join the party saying PDP is the party that is after the progress of the country and the state.
 
Highlights of the tour is the receiving of some decampees from APC to PDP from maigida ward
