But reacting, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Ayirimi Emami said Atiku does not have what it takes to defeat the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying Asiwaju would defeat all candidates and unite Nigeria.

Addressing party chieftains at a rally in Warri, yesterday Ayirimi Emami asked the people of the Niger Delta region to vote for Tinubu.

He called on the people to seek to inspire national unity by de – emphasising ethno – religious sentiments and promote excellence above mediocrity in all spheres of our democratic development.

He said, “This opportunity to fast – track Nigeria’s progress and upscale our economic diversification drive, which Tinubu represents, should not be allowed to slip away. Niger Deltans should key into it through our massive votes for the Tinubu/Shettima ticket, in order for us to experience revitalisation of our ports, rapid development in our coastal communities and the creation of sustainable industrial growth.”
