The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that Nigeria is nowhere close to a failed state as claimed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The PDP in a statement on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, alleged that Nigeria had become a failed state under President Muhammadu Buhari, citing deteriorating insecurity in the country.
The PDP which claimed that the Buhari administration had wrecked the nation’s economy, also advised him to step aside for more competent hands to run the country’s affairs.
But reacting in a statement, Secretary of the APC Caretaker Committee, Senator John Akpanudoedehe, said the Buhari led government was not oblivious to the country’s challenges and was “visibly and frontally” addressing them.
