Both the People’s Democratic Party and the All People’s Congress have declared they are ready for a rerun on September 27 after election regular declared the governorship elections in Osun “inconclusive.”
PDP led APC with a 353-vote margin, according to results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday.
But all 48 parties will vie for some 3,498 votes from seven polling units across four local government areas where INEC cancelled elections.
PDP in Osun said results in the local government it challenged were not rectified.
Its chairman Soji Adagunodo said INEC claimed the electoral officers in charge of the council areas had left the collation centres as at the time.
Similarly, Adeosun Razak, an agent who represented APC at the collation centre in Osogbo raised concern about irregularity of figures from the election regulator.
He said INEC’s returning officers did not “do their due diligence”.
But he insisted his party is ready to run.
