Represented by the council’s Director of Enforcement, Pharm. Stephen Esumobi, during the press briefing, Mohammed disclosed that this was part of compliance enforcement in the state.
He said the council discovered that the pharmacies and patent medicine vendors’ shops contravened the council’s Act in their operations.
Esumobi said the exercise conducted in Irrua, Ekpoma, Uromi, Ogwa and Igueben areas of the state revealed that owners of the pharmacies and patent shops engaged in the sales of medicines with disregard to laid down guidelines.
He advised those wishing to engage in the business to visit its national office or state offices for proper guidance.
