Pasuma and I’ll perform at Celestial Church event, Portable insists

Controversial Nigerian musician, Habeeb Olalomi Oyegbile, also known as Portable, has stated that he has no intention of not showing up at the Praise Night of a Celestial Church of Christ branch in Lagos. He stated this in a trending TikTok video.

Portable said he is also a son of God and the church should not judge him based only on his looks.

He said, “In the name of God, don’t use my looks to judge me. We will perform, Pasuma and I, so don’t stop the work of God!”

A flyer had listed Portable and well-known Fuji singers Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and May-Shua, as invited artistes to perform at a Celestial Church event.

Due to the development, Netizens were outraged by the church’s choice of guest performing artistes and took to various social media platforms to criticise the church’s choice of singers.

Also, the Celestial Shepherd-in-charge of the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters, Ketu, Olatosho Oshoffa, condemned the invitation.

In a post last week on his Facebook page, Oshoffa denounced Portable and Pasuma’s invitation to the church’s praise night, saying he had spoken to the parish’s cleric to modify the poster and that the singers would no longer be honoured on the occasion.

He said, “Dear Celestians, I have just spoken to the Shepherd in Charge of the above Parish at length. He has promised to make amendments to the posters.

“He has assured me that the aforementioned artists under dispute will not attend the praise nights. Without a doubt, the aforementioned poster is highly Condemnable. Blessings to CCC. Amen.”
