Pastor’s kidnappers demand N100m from family

Kidnappers of the founder and president of Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Apostle John Okoriko, abducted on Tuesday night in Akwa Ibom State, have demanded N100 million from his family.

City & Crime gathered that the kidnappers made contact with the family and asked for the ransom sum after abducting Okoriko from his church premises at Ibekwe Akpan Nya in Mkpat Enin LGA.

A witness said the kidnappers invaded the residence of the pastor on the church’s premises and shot sporadically, and whisked the octogenarian pastor away.

Confirming the incident, the police spokesman in the state, SP Odiko Macdon, said, “We received the report and the CP has ordered an investigation.

“As I speak, a lot has been done already. I want to believe that we will get to the root of it in no distant time.”
