A family source said the abductors of the woman contacted her husband, a retired permanent secretary in the state public service, who is now a pastor, requesting the sum of N32m.

“The pastor was contacted at the weekend by the kidnappers, instructing him to pay the sum of N32m before he can see his wife again .

“The miscreants  followed the woman  to her house  at Ibaji quarters, Lokoja and blocked her vehicle  at the gate of her house   around 2pm . The hoodlums shot sporadically into the air and left with her to unknown destination,’’ one of the sources said.

The source added that negotiation was still ongoing between the family and her abductors but the hoodlums are threatening to harm the woman if their request is not met on time.
